Roth IRA Rules
Would you tell your children about the Roth IRA Rules before they start in their first job? It might be quite a good idea to have a serious talk about money with your kids, esp. If you felt like your own parents didn’t tell you much about how to manage your money. Your kids might not appreciate such a lecture but at least they couldn’t say that you didn’t try. I think, I would have found it quite useful to learn more about money when I was younger. I kind of had to teach a lot about money to myself – on my own, just by try and fail or succeed. I made a bad experience with a bank – and my mother had done nothing to prevent me from making that mistake. Maybe she didn’t know that it wasn’t good or maybe she didn’t care. If you value your children, then tell them about the Roth IRA and other financial issues – one day they might really be grateful.
