Artist Anne Beffel and her collaborators: Institute of Technology at Syracuse Central students Ausha, Jade and Sanjeev, Syracuse University student Taylor, Everson Museum of Art Curator of Education and Public Programs Pam McLaughlin, and  Institute of Technology at Syracuse Visual Arts Teacher Cheryl Molesky, discuss the project Sitting Still for Art and Empathy. Thirteen Syracuse high school students, forty-four Syracuse University students, and others created videos for this exhibition.

We discuss stillness and paying attention and the connection to non-violence,  along with video art, contemplative practice, and noticing our environment and people.

The exhibition of videos, Stilling Still for Art and Empathy, is on view at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, NY, through July 12, 2009.
