For more than 3 years Darkhorse Radio has been playing the best independent / unsigned artists and bands from around the world. Host Alan Carr hand picks the music for each show – only the best gets through! The shows can include indie rock, pop, americana, acoustic, folk rock, blues – in fact anything that represents the finest music that you may never have heard. The aim of Darkhorse Radio is to introduce the listener to outstanding talent that doesn’t get played on mainstream radio.

The Shallow Call are an indie/rock band from my hometown of Northwich (near Manchester) in England. They are quickly making a name for themselves with their melodic songs and clever lyrics. For this show I interviewed frontman / singer / songwriter Phil O’Driscoll and played 5 of their songs – including their new single (track 4).
